Hi, I'm Lindsey.  I love tacos, coffee, and Michael Scott. I live in Sacramento, CA with my husband, Ben-David (yep, Ben-David - that's his first name) and my dog, Chandler. I sing in the shower and my sunshine is dark, overcast, and drizzling. But this isn't really about me (but let's grab a coffee soon)...it's about you.

I started in photography back in high school because of a desire to hold on to memories and that's still why I take pictures. I love to tell a story and give you something that you can look back on years from now and still be filled with those same feelings. Whether it be picking out your christmas tree with your kids, your baby's first bath, your daughter getting ready for her first high school dance, your son's Ninja Turtle/Pirate birthday party, or Spaghetti & Meatball Tuesdays...I want to capture it all for you.

So while I am a portrait photographer, I consider it more of a documentary. I'm a fly on the wall of your life for a few hours. Life is messy and fun and beautiful and I strive to capture real life in my pictures. I am not the photographer for you if you want everyone in matching outfits, sitting still, smiling at the camera (not that there's anything wrong with that -- that's just not me).  So let's go to the zoo or pick out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and at the end you'll have pictures that everyone was in (including YOU, mom!) and a story that you can look back on. I make art for me and capture life for you.

"We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone. We take photos to recall - with greater vibrancy - those experiences that have shaped and made us. We take photos to bridge distance and shorten time, to lend legacy to the little things and life to the forgotten. And we take photos to feel like artists on a Tuesday – and storytellers on a Sunday.
